Welcome

The admission process is designed to provide the best possible opportunity for an applicant and his family to understand Brunswick and its philosophy of education, and for the admission staff to understand each boy and his educational background and interests. Only when these goals have been met can both the family and the School be satisfied that the right match has been made for a student's successful education. Brunswick does not discriminate in the administration of its admission, financial aid, academic or other programs on the basis of race, religion, ethnic or national background. For information about Brunswick's diversity initiatives please click here.

Brunswick School tries to meet, within its means, the financial needs of students of deserving character and academic promise. Brunswick is a member of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) which assists schools in making financial aid decisions. Financial assistance is on a need basis only, not academic scholarship performance. An applicant for financial assistance should notify the Admission Office when applying.

Admission receptions are held in the fall. One reception is for the Pre-School, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Another is held for the Lower School first through fourth grades and for the Middle School, fifth through eighth grades. All interested prospective families are welcome. These receptions will consist of presentations by students in each division, student-guided tours and opportunities to meet with teachers, administrators and other members of the Brunswick community. Candidates interested in ninth through twelfth grades, and their parents, may visit during school hours by appointment. For directions to the School please click here.

Brunswick has entry points for each division: pre-kindergarten and kindergarten for the Pre and Lower School; fifth and sixth grades for Middle School, and; ninth and tenth for the Upper School. In other grades space is available solely based on attrition. Brunswick will accept applications to any grade, however student visits may be limited if it is a non-entry year and there is no predicted attrition.
