Summer Diversity Initiative
The Brunswick STEP Summer Program (for boys entering third, fourth and fifth grades)
The STEP (Students and Teachers for Educational Progress) Summer Program is designed to reach out to Greenwich and neighboring communities as a vehicle to assist young boys in their academic quests. In doing so, it is the School's desire to strengthen each child's foundation in basic academic skills and to stimulate a love of learning.
The STEP Program seeks boys from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds who are intellectually curious and who have demonstrated a personal commitment to learning. STEP looks for individuals who possess self-respect, strong character, and good citizenship.
Through the STEP Program, we strive to enrich boys academically and to imbue them with a sense of life's possibilities. A spirit of community and peer support is developed through small group classes and individualized attention.
A typical day provides enrichment in math, language arts, social studies, and science. Field trips, guest speakers, and cooperative learning experiences are an integral part of the program. There is also daily involvement in sports and outdoor activities.
This four-week program is for boys entering third, fourth and fifth grades. The tuition per child is $25.

Link Summer Program (for boys entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades)
The LINK Summer Program is designed to provide academic enrichment and discovery opportunities for young boys of diverse backgrounds from Greenwich and its surrounding communities. The goal during the program is to allow each student to better his self-image and motivation through rigorous academic exploration, social and athletic interaction.
The program was founded in 1985. The name LINK is not an acronym, instead the program's name emanated from the belief that Brunswick needed another way to "link" up with its surrounding communities. Every summer for the past fifteen years, Brunswick has opened its campus to young, ambitious boys from disadvantaged situations in the community "linking" them to a unique and rewarding summer opportunity.
The ultimate objective of the LINK program is to instill a higher level of self-confidence, a clearer focus toward academic excellence and a genuine appreciation for others in their community. Candidates for LINK must be entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade, be in good academic standing and be able to demonstrate financial need. The program runs for four weeks and there is a $35 fee charged upon acceptance.

Reach Prep (Summer and School Year)
Brunswick participates, along with 18 other independent college preparatory schools in Westchester and Fairfield counties, in the REACH Prep organization. The mission of REACH is to prepare motivated and talented rising fifth grade African-American and Latino children, who qualify for financial assistance, for independent school placement. The children participate in a fifteen-month academic enrichment program which prepares them for admission and success in an independent school.
